Food Tripping: Banzai The Great Teppanyaki Theater Review

Yes this is about food again! So me and my partner when to Banzai: The Great Teppanyaki Theater, I have first read about this place from Hana (a friend’s blog). As you know I’m a self confessed Japan-holic, I just have to go and check it out. The ambiance is great! You walk in and you are greeted by the one of the attendant, then they will show you the art gallery, where you can take photos in costumes. The place feels like its right from Japan.

He is lost in Time

There are a variety for Japanese food served, okonomiyaki, tempura, sushi, sashimi, ramen, takoyaki, miso soup, yakisoba, yakitori, gyoza, Japanese Inspired Pizza, and of course Teppanyaki. It was dessert heaven too. What I like about Banzai, is that it’s huge! You spend a few minutes of walking to get to what you want and I think that helps you digest for more food later XD

Rosette Series of Color Cast Contact Lens Review

As you know I have bought contact lenses from Alice and Rabbit

This is basically my “review” of the
Rosette Series of Color Cast

It is called Rosette as you can see roses on the outer part of the lens. I have been in love with this lens ever since I saw this in one of my freelance work. However, at the time, I have not seen an online shop within my country that sells them. So the moment Alice and Rabbit opened custom order and I have noticed that they have this design I decided to order from them.

If you are looking for something that shows off when you wear them this is not the lens for you. As you can see in the photos it is not that visible unlike my other pair (read here)

My eyeballs look bigger with this pair, though it made my eyes look darker. I love it still however next time I now know I need to pick a lighter color for the design to be visible. XD

Alice and Rabbit: Custom Contact Lenses Order review

Some time the perfect contact lenses are only on pre-order or custom order. I buy a lot online that is when I have the money for it. Recently, me and Ev decide to have a photo shoot of Vocaloid characters based on the song Matryoshka. The characters has crazy eye color, we needed contact lenses and me and Bell decided to pre order from Alice and Rabbit

Alice and Rabbit is an online shop that sells contact lenses. They have a wide selection of colored lenses. They have ones that you can use on a daily basis without being started a weirdly, they have really vivid color ones and they have cosplay contact lenses

I will be posting the time line it is better than me typing more than necessary (Yes sometime I type a lot)

Feb 1 to 9: the shop opens their custom ordering

Feb 6: I have emailed my order

Feb 7: I received a text message from Alice and Rabbit advising me of the bank details for payment, I made the payment on this day too. Yes I am a good customer XD

Feb 14:  (Valentines’ day and they are working. I love them already) I received an email with the subject Update. It basically told me that they have already place the order to their manufacture.

Feb 26:  Another email arrived advising that the payment has been sent to the manufacture and that all the items that were order a available and that they might receive them by 2^nd week of March

March 9: Another update came telling that the items will be shipped by the manufacture by next week. They have advised in this email to check the mailing address we (customers) we have put on the order slip as they will be preparing the waybills for the shipping to each buyer.

March 13: They have advised via email that the items have arrived and it will depend on when Customs will let it through

March 18: the last email from Alice and Rabbit stating that the lenses has been shipped and that it will take 2-3 days for Metro Manila deliveries and 3-5 days for provincial one.

What can I say about the service? This is the first time I have bought something from Alice and Rabbit. I will be buying from them again I am sure of it. As the items were under pre order, I like the fact that they constantly update their clients via email. They were professional in their deals, no wonder they are still active after 5 years of business. With I end this review; I cannot wait to try my pair, so I can make a review about it too.

It is a Waiting Game

The clock is ticking

This a compilation of the Waiting game I posted in Bubblews (links to the original post is at the bottom)

Day One: Saturday

I was out the whole day; I tried my luck and skills today. This will be the topic for this post. An application for work is a waiting game. I was at the recruiting office by 10 am Philippine time. However I knew it would not start at that time I got an email of my interview schedule it stated I was expected by 11am but they started calling people around 11:30am. I was letting time pass by making content for work +Bubblews. Then I was called and interview by Sir Ian for about ten minutes then after that he told me to come back on Monday for the exams

Lol it was fine at least I passed but I has up by 6 am, left our house by 8 am, arrive at the office by 10 am. A total of five hours of travel and waiting to be talked to for about an 1/6 of an hour to be told that. I hope this all goes well on Monday!!

Day Two: Monday

I was out all day again. So I noted down my content that I think you might want to read. So today the waiting game continued. I was back at the recruitment office for a few exams and I am a bit worried about the typing exams. It did not take long before they called me for the exams Haha I took the typing exam, five times to hit the 30 words per minute target. There was a profiling exam and the written grammar exams. After that it was back to the waiting game for me.

After I think half an hour of waiting I was called and asked if I wanted to take a break to eat lunch, I said yes as it was quarter to 12 noon and the person that will interview might be on break. 1pm at another office where the interview was suppose to be conducted; I was told that the interviewer has gone home.

Luckily my partner was with me XD

Day Three: Tuesday

I was back at the office of the company I am seeking work from. I got there by 7:30 am Philippine time the interview was at the 8 am. It was a good thing I was there early, I was told that the person I need to talk to is entertaining clients 10:45 I was called, again my process just lasted for 15 minutes according to the people I was with, they were wait for an interview too.

I was told to go to the recruitment hub to wait for the result of my interview. I passed and was told to do my medical checkup and come back to the office by 4 pm. I got the clinic by 11:45 am; however this clinic has a lunch break so I had to come back by 1 pm. After the medical I when back and waited for another two hour or so for the job offer

A must try: Yani Cakes' Chocolate Cake Balls

For White day I wanted to share something with the girls, so I ordered chocolate cake balls from Yani Cakes an online pastry shop in Facebook. So why cake ball? Because there are cute and I think is was priced right Php 130 or around $3 per set containing 12 pieces!


I ordered three boxes and got them via meet up. I really feel bad when I schedule the meet up by 1pm Philippine time and then re schedule to 9am Philippine time and re sked back to 1pm Philippine time due to other matter. I was lucky that the seller was nice and be friendly.

It was marshmallow covered with chocolate cake and drizzled with chocolate syrup and top with chocolate chips, nuts or colorful sprinkles. Best severed cold, it taste like cold balled up doughnuts that way

Good day!
Is being random bad?
This is my question for today.
I sure you have notice that most of my post are random. The things I write are about are most of the time not connected to the previous post and I think I do not have a specialty topic. 

The downside to being random (if you have a blog) I think is people will not remember your site if they are looking for something, they will think 

I don’t think that site has information on that. After all the last post I read there was about food os they might not have something about gadgets

This makes me feel sad because I’m a random person. I try to write about things I have done and experienced or something I want to try.
This post is random again, but is that wrong? Is being yourself wrong?

So another week as pass, I guess I was wrong when I said that my face may not go the red. Haha

So during the second week of using the rejuvenating set and right now, my face is red and I see the skin peeling all over unlike before that is was just at my lower right cheek. And yes finally the oil seems lesser now! That has made me happy after all there is the reason why I started using the product and why I have not stopped using it.

The dead skin is going away too, before when I will use the toner the cotton ball I used will remain yellow as the toner is in a yellowish liquid, now it has bits of brown, yes that is the dead skin that has been slowly peeling off.

Saturday= Fireworks and Chocolates

I belong to an anime and manga loving group called Philippine Otaku Society. Three or four years ago, we started celebrating Valentines’ day in each other’s company. It did not matter if some of us have partners. We have adopted the Japanese tradition for this day, in which the girls are the one that gives the boys chocolate.

I will be sharing a few tips to avoid getting annoyed by the crowd

• Set a call or meet up time
• Set a meet up location
• If you have plans of watching something be at the venue early for a good viewing or sitting location
• Bring potluck if allowed
• Water is life (hahaha)

This year we got tickets for the first day of the 5th PryoMusical Competition.

While waiting for the others we decided to go to Chocolat for cake. This is my partner's favorite cake shop. We had cake and ice tea

We did a little shopping at the supermarket because I did not have chocolates to give out and I need to buy water and food

At the venue, boys got their chocolates a few of the girls gave the other girls chocolate too; I was all fun after all it has been a while since I got to see these lovely people. Oh! I was with my sister it was fun having to do things you like with the people you love. There was a scary situation where I thought someone took money from my coin purse (I suck at watching how I spend my money when I am happy).

Polish Crazy: Hello Kitty Glow in the Dark Polish by BK

Here is another kind of nail polish or nail color I have wanted to review about. Glow in the dark polish

I have been looking for one for the longest time and during the Noel Bazaar, yes you read right Noel Bazaar so that was December last year (yes this review is long overdue)

I got four shades from a stall named Beauty Kingdom.

I noticed that the dark colors does not glow as much as the lighter ones, they are think and the color are bright that with one coat it looks good and it smells good!

#21 looks like a two toned fabric, it is red with a blue shimmer

#26 is a light shade of purple

#31 is a mix of blue and green and reminds me of the peacock feather

And lastly

#38 it beige with pink shimmer and is pretty tamed in shade you will not get in trouble with this if your work/school does not like obvious nail color.

I planning to look for more, Beauty Kingdom does not seem to have a page where I can order from. I cannot order internationally because that will be a little too much.

Polish Crazy: Sassy Colors, Are you Hot or Cold?

I have a new nail polish; this one is amusing as it shifts to a darker shade when it’s cold!

Made by Sassy Colors, I have first heard about this nail color from a friend, she was using a shade that was blend with her nails it was completely invisible to me, until she got cold with the air conditioner inside the bus. Her nails turn bright red.

I was so amuse so I looked for it at Watson’s in SM Bacoor

I got this one

The color is called Chameleon Blue

This is how it looks like in hot or normal temperature

plus it has a matte feel to it

After being exposed to iced water

See the difference 

I am not sure how many shades was made under this particular Chameleon line but I have seen, black, pink, yellow, and purple. I am thinking of buying another shade most likely a shade that is invisible in room temperature.

Multi tasking, Is it really making your brain dull?

Are you an office Octopus?

Multi tasking is defined by merriam-webster as the concurrent performance of several jobs by a computer.
Now-a-days this is essential to any job may it be at home or in a regular office. It has become a normal thing to do and a routine to people who works in call centers and even to people that take in freelance work.

So, is multi tasking is it really making your brain dull?

I do not think this is the case, maybe it just the fact that you are not focus on one thing. I have heard that if you focus on something for eight second the brain gets to remember better. So for me Multi tasking does not make your brain dull but it just makes you less focus. 

So, if you do not want to be called a scatter brain at work or anywhere else, do use you multi tasking skill in moderation and I think this will help you finish one job quicker. This will make the job more concise and I think it will have less room from revision and save time.
It will help you remember the methods you have used that way if it was right you can easily remember them the next time you have to apply them to another project.

I really depends on the capacity of one’s brain, after all some people I know can focus better if they have music in the background, their favorite show on TV or even while eating.

How to save time is one thing but how to save time and have a quality output is another thing.

1. Mother knows best
With due respect, we all know this, but for me by saying this you are controlling your child no matter in what matter you say it. There is no need to say this if you know that you have raised you child well.

2. Take up this course
I’m a firm believer of do what you want for as long as it makes you happy. It may not be the best choice for the people around you, but know that if your choice is about to eat you alive take responsibility for it. I have being asked a million time “Why did you not take up Nursing in College?” even if I have been done with college for about two years now

Here is the answer that I only reply in my head, please don’t pass you frustration to me.


3. Does he not remind you of your father (in a negative way)
So what, we are not yet married and you are not even sure if I want to marry even.


I think that’s about it these are the top 3. So if even I do have a daughter in the future, remind me of this post. Respect and responsibility are just a few things I want to teach her. I wish to be a friend and a mother at the same time.
