What to do in: Makati on a Saturday

May it be with your family or friends here are things you might want to try. I found these gems with the help of friends that was celebrating their birthdays. First of is House of Lasagna, Located at the Dela Rosa Car Park 2. It's pretty easy to get to from Green Belt 5 check the map:

Inside I think is just right for a group of 10 so that they can still accept other people. If you want to have the place for your group you can call advance. I like the interior of this place. If I was alone i would enjoy eating here the food is good and the area is quite.

This Lasagna is OMG

I would really love to visit this place again. It's a good thing, it close to my office. So, a foodies day is not done if we did not have dessert! Next stop, Lizzy Latte. How to get there? Check out the map below:

Lizzy Latte is just past the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. This is what will greet you:

They are open from Mondays to Friday from 7 am to 8 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 3 pm. We got there around 3 pm the place became exclusive for us. We were allowed to stay until 4:30 pm or 5 pm. Sorry, I was enjoying the place and the company of my friends that I forgot to check the time. The owner was there and two baristas. The cakes are yummy and I like how the frappes and lattes are not just sweet. I quickly became addicted to their Mocha Mint Marvel, might go there this week for grab one. Here are some photos. This place is another haven for people how just want to have a quite time with their coffee, music or book.

Little Tokyo Makati: Sunday Fiesta

As I have stated in this blog

I went to Little Tokyo for the Sunday Fiesta. I wanted to see how events are held there and I wanted to eat Okonomiyaki from one of the restaurants there. The poster said the event was between 4 to 10pm. So I meet with my partner by 4pm, but I was still super early XD So we went around the two Japanese groceries with the area, Choto Stop and Yamasaki Grocery. I bought a few items from both shops.

Everything started at 6 pm and another friend with two of her friends joined us. We stayed near Oishinbo and ordered dinner as  Kagura, is the only place within Little Tokyo, that has Okonomiyaki (Do correct me if I am wrong) opened pass 6pm and all their tables has been reserved. However, we were able to order from them which was fine coz I just really want to have okonomiyaki XD

The first event was the Nagashi Somen (Flowing Noddles), I wanted to join this but I remembered we ordered okonomiyaki, I knew I cannot handle to much Japanese food so I passed. It was fun to watch though, for php 30 you have the chance to catch cold flowing noodles for three minutes. I have a short video of it. In the background you have Mr. Yu Miyoshi playing the koto. The Event was hosted by Aisaku and AK. We stayed until the end of the hot Chawanmushi speed eating contest.

Oh!!! After years of looking for it I finally got to taste Wasabi Ice Cream from Dojo Dairy. We bought the 4 oz cup for Php 120 and shared our friends. I was like vanilla ice cream with a spicy after taste!

We did not finish the event as I needed to be home early and for consideration was there were a lot of people waiting to be sited. I had great fun and It is wrong to be greedy.

Saturday= Fireworks and Chocolates

I belong to an anime and manga loving group called Philippine Otaku Society. Three or four years ago, we started celebrating Valentines’ day in each other’s company. It did not matter if some of us have partners. We have adopted the Japanese tradition for this day, in which the girls are the one that gives the boys chocolate.

I will be sharing a few tips to avoid getting annoyed by the crowd

• Set a call or meet up time
• Set a meet up location
• If you have plans of watching something be at the venue early for a good viewing or sitting location
• Bring potluck if allowed
• Water is life (hahaha)

This year we got tickets for the first day of the 5th PryoMusical Competition.

While waiting for the others we decided to go to Chocolat for cake. This is my partner's favorite cake shop. We had cake and ice tea

We did a little shopping at the supermarket because I did not have chocolates to give out and I need to buy water and food

At the venue, boys got their chocolates a few of the girls gave the other girls chocolate too; I was all fun after all it has been a while since I got to see these lovely people. Oh! I was with my sister it was fun having to do things you like with the people you love. There was a scary situation where I thought someone took money from my coin purse (I suck at watching how I spend my money when I am happy).
