Food Tripping: Secret Haven Cafe

This is my second time here! Finally get to blog about it. So this place is already internet famous. Secret Haven Cafe in Noveleta, Cavite is a place where you can dine as if you are at your own home.

They open at 11 am it is best to be there before anyone else if you want to take photos and enjoy the peace and quiet. Their garden is filled with cactuses and succulents. It also has a rustic and sweet at the same time.

Let's get to the food. The first time I visited this place, I have ordered their version of butterbeer and clubhouse sandwich. It's called Prague Castle in their menu. If I remember it correctly.

My date for the date
This time I got to try their plates of pasta. I forgot to write down the names, but one as in red sauce and the other in white. I also got one of their best selling drink, mint iced tea.

So sorry for forgetting the names of the things we ordered. This blog is so late really. It was an awesome afternoon date at this place. I would definitely go back to try the other items on their menu. I have heard good things about the milkshakes that they have.

For now, I'm glad to finally know about this secret! :)

Back Ride Diaries: Montemaria, Batangas

Montemaria, Batangas is a pilgrimage center said to be dedicated to Mary, Mother of All Asia. The main feature of this place is the huge Mary statue. This ride was organized by the awesome people of MRO.

We left for Batangas around 7 a.m. We got to Montemaria around 11 a.m. It took longer than I expected as there were newbie riders. It was their first time to join a long ride. My partner, who was the spearhead, said that he can't go faster as they have the tendency to overshoot on curves.

This is me
What to see, when you get there. You will enter through the Gate of the Archangels then walk uphill to the Sto. Niño Chapel. After visiting the chapel, you can go up to the Mother of All Asia - Tower of Peace. If you do get hungry, there is a restaurant within the compound as well.

You also have a great view of the sea and the surrounding island. Inside the tower is an altar as well.

Yes, here is me again
We had lunch a store near the place. Support local! We stopped a few times to wait for some rides that seemed to have gotten lost, while on our way home. Since the sun was still up we got a chance to take photos of Fantasy World. The unfinished theme park in Lemery, Batangas.

Marshal Duties: Cosplay Carnival 2018

No automatic alt text available.
Credits: Cosplay Carnival

Cosplay Carnival is the first event in the line up of  Cosplay.ph's series of conventions. Held last February 24-25 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. It was two days of fun and costumes!

I was on marshal duties, hence I was able to take photos during short breaks only. This was my first time at Cosplay Carnival. It was surprising to see that they build a gazebo at the center of the function room.

On stage, they did the Yoshinoya eating contest, cosplay competitions, and item auctions. There was never a dull on the stage area. They even have a game that was similar to Family Feud.

Just like in a carnival, they have games for you to enjoy! Known online shops and artists have also joined for a complete carnival experience.
