How do you answer the question, "Are we okay?"
I don't really know after all, okay for me is not a state of something. It is not positive nor negative unless you add the tone of your voice to it. You need to factor in as well, how your listener will take it. We are so used to getting okay as a good reply when in fact there will always be more to it.
Take the photo above as a sample, one of them can be asking if the other is okay. The simple answer will be "yes, I'm okay." The question should be "How are you holding up?" or "Do you think we can find something here we can use to stay afloat?" This might be overthinking for other but this is a better question than the one on the title. There is more concern on those question.
What if there are really close to somewhere safe, "Are you okay?" is fine as long as there is a follow up like "can you still swim towards the shore or boat?"
Whatever the situation don't settle for an "I'm okay!" or "We're okay." reply.

Food at Moities Forever
Well we all know that sometimes big events like this may be delayed. Don’t worry I did not lose weight while waiting haha. This by far is the most posh wedding I have ever been too. During the wait there were waiters serving torones (sorry not sure what they were) with I think mayo stuffing topped with caviar and others were serving drinks.
Here is the reception area when we arrived
After the ceremony, there was a bit of free time again. The god parents table had name cards that was I think hand written by Sir Pao. Here is a photo.
Again wine was served and chips with the same mayo like share with caviar. See how Mama Sarah enjoys the view and the wine
Excuse the photos I did not have my camera
The dish above was serve as soon as people started sitting down on their table, I wanted to eat it as soon as it was serve but I did not know if I can so I wait for the others to start. It turned out that there was still more to this dish the soup
Sorry if it does not look good, yes I know I have ruined the presentation by eating the shard ahead, but I like it that way the cheese was good (yes that is bias as I love cheese). This was paired with Santa Rosa Chardonnay, Mendoza, Argentina, 2011
Paired with OtoƱal Rose "Grupo Olarra", Spain 2012 was a great contrast for the citrusnesso of the Vinaigette. I never knew that flower will be nice as part of the salad it added a wonderful shade to the greens
This was my favorite, It was paired with Santa Rosa Chardonnay, Mendoza, Argentina, 2011. I'm a sucker for any cream based dish. This dish made me want another serving but of course that was not allowed. I'm not a foodie, I just love to eat and I will definite want to have this again.
Sgroppino means Italian Cocktail, I liked this one as well. All thought this was a Cocktail I do not think that this had any alcohol in it. It was very refreshing to drink
Steak was the main course, I'm not sure it it was done or medium rare as the inside was quite raw. I liked it. It was very tender and easy to cut. Now last and everyone's favorite part... Dessert
Dessert was heaven with that Up Dharma Down started the party. Note to self If I do get married make sure to serve the alchol before telling people that they will give a toast from me and my husband. Bwahahaha

The Great Gastby and so much more
There have been a number of movies that has gotten their
share of remakes. I was just recently I found out that the movie “The Great Gastby”
that was released last year 2013 was a remake of a movie made in 1974 with the
same title.
I have written something about this before but it was based
all in the 2013 film, but I can find it now. So I did research more after the movie this
time. It was based on the novel of F.
Scott Fitzgerald published in 1925. It was a story about a person
hopping that her can have his old life back, being in love and loved by the
girl he felt married too. This is my observation from the two movies. I’m on
the hunt for the book now.
If you have not watched this movie I suggest you start with
the 1974 one, there are similarities but the way it was told was different. One
is more on the narration of Nick and other did not follow anyone’s point of
view. I really have to read the book first before I say which one is more
faithful to the book.
One thing is sure though, now and then when it comes to love
both the rich and the poor can never have what they want without sacrificing so much.
