Tips on: What to do when you lose your phone?

I'm not happy about it.

It has been 2 weeks now since I lost my phone. With it photos, messages, and information that is
meant for me only. I don't really know how to move on from it. I don't even know if they are still safe. I have accepted the fact that I will not be able to get my phone, sim and sd card back.

I miss Kintoki! Yes! I give names to my gadgets. I know I will never get it back, I'm just glad that I have my old number back. There could have been ways for me to save my phone from being accessed.  Too bad I found out about it after I lost my phone.

Here are some tips!

1. Get an app that can track your phone.

It will be best if you can find one that can access your phone even if there is no mobile data or your phone is not connected to any hotspot.

2. Get your number blocked ASAP

Get an affidavit of lost and bring it to your sim operator as soon as you can. This will help prevent calls or message that will be made by the one that stole your phone. I learn the hard way that this has to be the first thing I have to do to get my mobile number back. I had to wait 2 more days for the network to verify that it was my number I was trying to retrieve.

3. If you can have the IMEI of your phone blocked.

This will prevent your phone from connecting to any network making it useless to anyone that will get it. The process is tedious but it will be worth it. It can be done thru email or by going to one of the offices of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). I got this information in this forum post.

Here is what the site looks like.

Email from NTC
They have their own affidavit that needs to be notarized. You can download the form here.

I have yet to get a reply about my question about item number 2 in the form. It states that you want the number in the lost phone to be blocked. I'm not sure if you still need to do that if you have already retrieved the number. I will update this blog once I get the reply.

Loving Vincent: The Truth

The truth is no one will ever know the absolute truth! This movie showed me that. To some Vincent van Gogh was crazy, to others he was a genius painter, he was also described as someone normal and still to others, he was one lonely soul.

I will be talking about what I remembered from the film so, if you have not watched it I suggest not to read this if you do not want to be spoiled.

Let's talk about the production of this movie first. Over 100 artists worked on the 65,000 frames of the movie with oil paint. It was partly funded through Kickstarter. It is the world's first full-length movie made with oil paint on canvas.

The movie starts with Postmaster Roulin looking for his son, Armand Roulin. He asked him to deliver Vincent's last later to his brother, Theo. The timeline was a year after Vincent's death. What followed will make you think about what it feels like to be treated like you are a madman and what it is like to be alone even if you are with a lot of people.

Armand after looking for some time found out that Theo is also dead. That information came from Père Tanguy he was the paint supplier of Vincent. This is also the part that shows that as a child Vincent did not win the favor of his parents. The postmaster's son decided someone else should keep the letter so he went and tried to meet the one that looked after the health of Vincent, Dr. Gachet. After arriving in Auvers-sur-Oise, he found that the doctor was in Paris.

While waiting for the doctor to arrive, the young Roulin asked around about the deceased painter. Finding information and stories that made him think, maybe Vincent did not kill himself; that maybe someone killed him. This was after the fact that his father got a letter saying that the painter felt well and is calmer, 6 weeks before he took his own life.

The movie ended with the postmaster and his son reading the content of the last letter for Theo, now in the hands of his widower. She has copied the letter for them to be able to read for themselves. It sounded like the suicide note that was needed to solve the mystery of his death. That Vincent did kill himself to be with the stars.

This is my truth you may not agree with me and that is alright. We have different beliefs after all. This is a good movie to watch. It can help you know more about Vincent van Gogh and also help you see that there are not just two sides to a story.

anTRIPolo: Pinto Art Museum

This is not a normal house facade
This place is so awesome! It is quiet and vast. You can definitely spend a day in this place! I suggest that you go there with people the likes taking photos.

It will take you to another world!

The artwork they have are both contemporary and vintage. They also have artworks from the three main islands of the country.

This is a great place to take photos and relax. It will be best to visit during the weekday at around 3pm until closing. There are so many IG worthy spots.

If you look closer there are areas in the museum that may not be on the map but it has a story to tell. Based on previous photos the displayed art in this museum has changed from time to time.

I like this piece not sure why
Be ready for a lot of walking and IG worthy photos. Best to have your power bank fully charged and wear comfortable shoes. Ps, you need to leave your bag the guard house.

I would love to have something like this in my future house

If you do get hungry from all the walking and awesome artwork plus talking great photos, you can eat at the restaurant inside the museum called Cafe Rizal. We did really try it out as we were still full from the cake of Starbucks.

I like watching him walk around
I will definitely go back here! This is just a great place to think and relax. There is so many unique and fun stuff to do here too.
Me when someone says I'm cute
