What to do in: Makati on a Saturday

May it be with your family or friends here are things you might want to try. I found these gems with the help of friends that was celebrating their birthdays. First of is House of Lasagna, Located at the Dela Rosa Car Park 2. It's pretty easy to get to from Green Belt 5 check the map:

Here is what you will see outside along with the Dela Rosa Carpark Art:

People are photo crazy

Inside I think is just right for a group of 10 so that they can still accept other people. If you want to have the place for your group you can call advance. I like the interior of this place. If I was alone i would enjoy eating here the food is good and the area is quite.

This Lasagna is OMG
I would really love to visit this place again. It's a good thing, it close to my office. So, a foodies day is not done if we did not have dessert! Next stop, Lizzy Latte. How to get there? Check out the map below:

Map to Lizzy Latte from the Dela Rosa Car Park
Lizzy Latte is just past the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. This is what will greet you:

They are open from Mondays to Friday from 7 am to 8 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 3 pm. We got there around 3 pm the place became exclusive for us. We were allowed to stay until 4:30 pm or 5 pm. Sorry, I was enjoying the place and the company of my friends that I forgot to check the time. The owner was there and two baristas. The cakes are yummy and I like how the frappes and lattes are not just sweet. I quickly became addicted to their Mocha Mint Marvel, might go there this week for grab one. Here are some photos. This place is another haven for people how just want to have a quite time with their coffee, music or book.

I commend Kuya for being cool with our noisy and ordering system

Marshal Duties: Cosmania 2015

Here is another long-overdue post. POS marshal moments at Cosmania. Last year only a few people from our group participated. So for this year we are back. Kel needed at least 30 people and we delivered. For this year Cosplay Mania occupied the functions rooms at the second floor of SMX.
There was a lot of things con goers can get; like for the first day there were Calbee freebies, all you have to do is take a photo and post it with a hashtag. This year was really jam packed. I can’t really say more than that, as we were busy with letting people and watching their bags.

Here are some highlights for me in photos:

Look at how clean this place was. XD
Trese and the Kambal
The energetic crowd

Free food because we have watched over his R2D2
And last but not the least these crazy people!

Oh! This is just for me to remember in the future. We have to be more vigilant about pick pocket and we must not bring important documents to this kind of event. As part of the security team, as much as we want to watch you all the time to keep you and your things safe we can't so please watch over your things and we'll make sure that you'll enjoy your day with us.

#AlDub Fever: KiligPaMore

Image from this Twitter post

I love how people are so creative that just a simple “kilig” became a worldwide fever. Just recently they broke #lovewins’ twitter record. The hastag #AlDubtheAbduction gained 6.37 million tweets, lovewins’ records was 6.2 million tweets.

It was been two months since this pairing has started. I do not really know how this will end but I do not think it will end anytime soon. They kinda remind me of Sir Cher and Maya. Raise your hand if you feel the same. It makes people believe in love and that you do not have to be close personal to feel someone’s love. I know “Actingan lang to” but that’s the charm of it, it is so spontaneous that you forget that it is all an act.

As side from that it is a mix of comedy and reality. They deliver morals that we should know by now but we tend to forget. Sometimes it is a serious matter, presented in a subtle manner that will make you remember it. They connect to everyone that is watching.

The characters are simple and easy to relate to. Lola Nidora is your typical grandmother that knows what is right, but can sometimes deliver it in a very antagonistic ways. Yaya Dub may not be your typical Yaya (nanny) but she can represent a young girl's dream of finding someone that will appreciate her. Alden is your dream guy that seems to be hard to reach, but us actually down to earth. It's that simple!

With all the complexity in right now, Eat Bulaga has helped break that that feeling even if it is just for a few minutes. Simplicity at its finest. To the people behind all of these, thank you and congratulations!

Advance Happy 2nd month to TeamAlDub!

Here a video for you of the episode that broke #lovewins' record

Back Ride Diaries: To Laguna and back

I like to travel! Most of the time I’m with relatives and the farthest we have gone to is the Ilocos region. Traveling to Laguna is normal, especially during summer. It has been years since I went back to Laguna. This is the first time that I got to places in Laguna on a motorcycle. This by far is the farthest place I have reached as a back ride

We left Sm Bacoor around 6:34 a.m. and got to Victoria, Laguna after 2 hours and 37 minutes not breaks. So, yes kudos to my partner that drove and chatted with me the whole time. It was tiring but worth it. Hopefully, the next time we do this I have my own ride. I was a bit frisky and relentless at times.

The route is familiar to me. Maybe because it was the common route we use before, expect the Biñan part. I have a question, is the PNR station there still functioning?

Here, check out some of the photos:

Welcome to Sta. Rosa

This is my first time to see Sm Sta Rosa

I was taking a photo of the fountain XD

We stopped for a while in this area, as we thought we have already missed our destination

I think she is a deity in Thailand

You might be asking, what the heck are we doing in Victoria, Laguna? We visited one of our friends. His dad just passed away. We did some catching up as it has been a while since we got together. After lunch, we geared up and took off! It took us about 2 hours and 4 minutes to get back to Dasmariñas. It could have been quicker, but the traffic in General Trias was bumper to bumper.

Here is the travel map:

From Sm Bacoor to Victoria, Laguna

From Victoria, Laguna to Dasmariñas, Cavite

Time for what have I learned from this trip
For long trips like this, make sure that you have a face mask. It will protect your face from all the dust and dirt. My face as dirty as heck. The wet tissue I used as black after rubbing my face.

You need to have gloves as well. This is to protect your hands from the dust and the sun. You don't want tanned hands do you now?

Make sure that you are focused on the road as well. You can affect the driver if your are not paying attention or if your body is going to another direction.

Breaks! Take at least a 10-minute, unless the rider can handle a no-break ride. It is also a good to bring food or take a break to buy food.

I wonder if this will ever happen again?
How about your have you been a back ride in a long trip before?

Life in General: New Work

Since the second half July, I back to travelling daily to work in Makati. Yes I’m working away from home again. Banzai! XD

I watch Facebook pages from companies, games and communities. The have known about this company since 2012. I have applied for the post back then, but I did not made the cut. So, now I believe in “the second time is sweeter”. I like this place it seems that you can be what you want to be here. I just hope my writing skills work well here or at least improve a lot.

What do I like about this place and it made me come back and try to bag the job again?
I’ll list it down for you:

  1. The ambiance of the place is really light. Unlike my previous work, that after a month or after the training I find myself dragging my body to work.
  2. Dress code: as look as you are presentable. I think this is great as I believe that you work better if you feel comfortable.
  3. Work load, it is light. Can be crazy sometimes but you have your team to help you with it.
  4. I get to plot my own rest days! Yes, I’m happy about that, although it is kinda hard especially if you are the last one to plot it XD
  5. I do not get locked out from the outside world. If you work for BPOs, mobile phones are not allowed inside the operations floor and social networking sites are block. That you only become free for two 15 minutes and an one hour break.
  6. We are on shifting but at least the time is fixed. 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Plus it is not hard to get to work on the said schedule.
  7. The people are friendly and since it is a small office you get to know everyone. No, I have not met everyone. I’m just a lurker when it come to socializing. Although, I have been asked to be more open.

After being here for almost a month, I think I can stay here and grow it is the ultimate goal. I just hope my age will not hinder me. I really feel shy about working with a group that has people that  is younger than me. Yes, I feel the age gap!

Excuse me while I pep talk to myself: I can do this! I know that this will be a great for me!

Oh by the way, I think there are still openings check it here:

Food Tripping: Small Spaces (Food Stalls and Trucks)

It is a restaurant with many choices, this is how a food court is described in a joke. It is weird to be having a date there but it’s the company your are with that matters. We have been going to places that are small and yet worth it.

We tried the one in SM Megamall food court, not sure if there are others out there XD
It’s pretty awesome that you can get hot pot for less than Php 200. It comes with a cup of rice and if you’re not a big eater you can share one pot with a friend.

Mixed Pot

Located in BF Resort, Las Piñas. This is one burger joint any burger lover must try. Their price range is from  Php 65 (minion) to Php 700 (T-Rex) . I know you are asking what is minion and T-rex; those are the size of the burger. If there was a let down about this place is the fries as we upgraded to large but the fries serving did not feel like it was a large. XD

Wave Monster (Regular)

El Bandido Burger (Regular)

This place just started last July and is located in BF Parañaque. It’s a vacant lot that has 9 - 10 Food Vendors, some of them are Food Trucks. We tried food from Cheese Steak Stop and Bread Lounge. I was tempted to try something from Truck Bun, I was so curious about the Crispy Adobo Flakes with Kesong Puti. However, steak and pizza was too much for one night XD.

I’m not picky with the food I eat as long as it is awesome. Sigsig sa Rada is one of those gems in the city of Makati. Sold a JollyJeep in Rada Street. The place is already famous to workers around the area so if you plan to eat there make sure it is not Lunch time, or call in advance.

Sigsig!!!

Looking for something close to Cavite? Then, try McDards! Located in a residential area, near the General Trias, Municipal Hall. They serve -silog. What's their best seller? Chicharong Bulaklak. Gosh, this is making me want to go there now. The place, is really homey, what do you expect from a home that was converted to a eatery? XD
