Silventures: Puerto Galera 2015

Puerto Galera

Yes, this is super late! I honestly though I have made a blog about this last year.

This trip was organized by the birthday girls Aya and Bell. They when to Singapore this year, did not have enough for that one. Maybe in the next adventure, I can join again. :)

Last year, today POS was in White Beach, Puerto Galera!

Warning: This is not a guide but just a recollection of how we got there.

We rode a bus from Cubao to Batangas Port. Travel time was about 2 hours or so, the fare was 175 Php. Make sure that you have an idea of what ferry to ride to Mindoro. Our hotel gave our names to a ferry service they preferred, which was Minolo Shipping Lines. Once you are at the Port of Batangas and you have the name of your ferry, as much as possible, don't talk to anyone even if they say that they are a porter from the same ferry company. Having your things carried for you will entail an extra cost. The fare from the port to White Beach is 175 one way and 250 for round trip tickets.

After alighting from the ferry, There was free shutter to your hotel. We stayed at Rem's Virgin Island Hotel. I like that place it was a few minutes walk to the beach front, which was perfect coz it was noisy at the beach front at night. Also, the room for 6 people is big enough for more than 6 people. One of the rooms we rented as a kitchen sink and cabinets.

Things to do while you are in Puerto Galera:

1. Enjoy the beach
Puerto Galera Beach

It is the main reason why you are in Puerto after all! There is more that one beach you can visit. Go island hopping for more awesome views!

2. Watch people dance with fire

Fire Dancing at night

On our first night, we decided to take a walk along the shoreline. There were so many establishments there and each as their own way to get the attentions of the tourist. We even show one bar with pole dancers.

3. Look for crabs at night
a crab

Once you passed the shops you will be able to enjoy some quite time. It was dark, though, so make sure that you bring a flashlight if you want to look for some shells, stones, and random crabs!

4. Feed fishes
under the sea

Aside from hopping between 3 island, you get to feed schools of fishes.

5. Enjoy good Pizza

Arcobaleno Pizzeria

Awesome food is awesome! I want more! These pizzas were bought from Arcobaleno Pizzeria. If you are going to the port for island hopping, you won't miss it. Also, it is recommended by the locals.

6. Enjoy the company of crazy people

Hey! As much as I want to travel solo! It is still more fun with friends!

Happy Anniversary to this awesome trip!

Silventures: Bacolod

My boarding pass

After months of planing, actually years! I finally got to go to Bacolod! Thanks, to the crazy sale from Cebu Pacific last March! This is the biggest move I have ever done when it comes to vacations! After all, I went alone! Here are the photos:

so bright!

Do you see the good sign?

Bye Luzon!

Hello Visayas!
The flight took about an hour or so! We landed at Bacolod-Silay International Airport past 1pm! As soon as my friend picked me up, we when to Royal Am Rei, then we had dessert at Calea. It was surprisingly close to my hotel!
Touch down!

I love this door! Welcome to Calea!
My tour guide AKA Wella has school, so after going to Calea, I went back to the hotel. Around 4pm, Wella picked me up again to go to The Ruins. Sadly, I did not get to see the golden hour everyone has been talking about! It was cloudy that day! It was still an awesome place to visit. Entrance fee is Php 100. Transportation is easy if you can't speak the local language! You can use Grab, in which I was told is still new in the province! We have dinner at Chicken House Restaurant! Legit Bacolod inasal!

Day 2 in Bacolod. I got up early for a trip to Mambukal! Took us about an hour to get there! It is resort within a forest! Entrance fee is Php 50, if I remembered correctly. There are a number of things you can do there! Like hiking to see waterfalls, taking photos of butterflies, enjoying the sulfur hot springs, getting a massage and seeing fox bats!

We were able to reach up to the 3rd falls only as the path to falls number 4 to 7 is being fixed. Then we spend about 2 hours at the Japanese Ofuro. It was amazing! I did not want to leave that place. The water was awesome and by back pain disappeared! When did try the massage at the Blade Spa too! That was super relaxing as well! I fell asleep! :)

Day 3: time to leave. My flight back to Manila was a scheduled at 9am, so I has to leave by 7am to catch it! Good thing there was a Bong Bong's close to my hotel too! That's about it! Thanks for reading!

Bye Visayas!
This vacation was shorter that I expected! So, I plan to do it again. Just need to save for it! Also, now that I have a GetGo card, I can have more perks!

I just realized after almost 10 years, I was able to fly of somewhere again. The last one was in 1996.

Marshal Duties: Cosmania 2016

Pic from Cosmania

I'm back for another round of marshal duties for Cosplay Mania. Check out what happened on the 2015 CosMania. This year's program is way bigger than the previous one! More guests and the collaboration with I♥Anisong®. Over all this was the hardest one yet. There was too many people, there was a number of petty crimes and missing wallets. We got to watch the concert, but the main concern was to be on the look out for people recording the event as it was prohibited.

I was not able to roam around and take photos. Everyone was busy not time of checking out the booths! I was not able to take a photo of the Dream and Delirium cosplayers. This was tiring but it was still fun as heck! After all we were a group working together!

Here are some of the photo of the event:

Loot bags

It has a fan, map of the event and hair wax

This was taken on day two!

More loot bags

We were basically farming them

For day two: I guarded the escalators
Cosplayers:

Reminders not just for people going to CosMania's event but for any event
1. Don't leave your ticket with your friends, especially if you know that there is a strict rule of no tickets, no entry.
2. Always ask if you are not sure!
3. Watch your things. Lockers were available for you to rent and use!
4. Respect begets respect. Don't be rude if someone asked you politely to do something.

If you have more to add to these reminders let me know! :)

Penumbra: Accessories and Gems

According to Google, Penumbra is the partially shaded outer region of the shadow cast by an opaque object. This name may sound familiar to you because of the El Gamma Penumbra. The name as something mystical to it.

Gems has that effect too! If you are into gems and their meanings this is a shop you might want to check out. They started early this year but is already having good reviews. They have 2,021 likes on their Facebook page. They also have their items on sale at The Fashionology Boutique in Alabang.

Their accessories are simple and classy, also they are handmade. You can easily pair them with you #OOTD. They have just added gem rings to their line. I got Pointed Crystal Necklace with all the nine pendants. You can choose from Blue Sapphire, Emerald Black Onyx, Tiger's eye,  Amethyst, Jade, Turquoise, Red Onyx
or Orange Sunstone depending on your mood.

If you fancy anything from their line, you can simply message they on Facabook or send a DM on their Instagram account.

Guide: Student to Non Pro!

It was a nice day! Perfect to get my student permit change to a Non-Professional Driver's License! Aside from the fact that my student is about to expire. XD

I am number 5 (yes I know i'm not number 4)

I got it done at LTO Kawit. Be there early! It is best to do the medical before getting your application form from Window 1. It saves time as the cashier for the medical clinic seems to open before anything else. So, to get a Non-Professional Driver's License, you must be 18 years old, physically fit to drive a motorize vehicle and literate in both English and Filipino.

If you pass the criteria above, you require the following, your one month old Student permit, medical certificate not older then 15 days, most LTO branch has their own Medical clinic and most importantly, you have to pass the written and practical exams. You can read more here.

Once, I got my number I waited to be called by the evaluator. They will be the one to retrieve your information. You have to check that everything is up-to-date after all you will be using this ID for 3 years! After the evaluation, you will be asked to wait until the person in charge of the data capture calls you. This is where you will get your photo taken and your signature recorded.

Next, time to pay the fee, the application fee is P167.63, after paying wait for your receipt and move on to the exams. The written exam will only last for one hour and you have to get at least 30 correct answers out of 40 questions to pass. If you pass, you move on to the practical exam. Failing means you can retake the exam after one month.

My practical exam was just with a motorcycle it was the only one I can drive with confidence. After the exam, I was asked to go back to window 7 and wait to be called. At this point, if you pass, you will be asked to pay P417.63 for your license and your done! :)

Break down of fees
Medical              P 250
Application fee  P 167.63
Rental*              P 150

*I did not have a motorcycle with me so I had to rent one for the practical. It will be 250 if you don't have your car with you.

As Told By Klea: MMTiangge 2016

Hi! My name is Klea! I will be taking over this blog

This is about my first ManikaManila Tiangge. It was held at the SM Light Residences, 8/F Function Room 1 last August 20.

We got there pretty late. As you can see behind me the traffic in this country is crazy. It was a Saturday and someone, I'm not saying that it's my owner, thought the traffic will be light.

I kinda got mad because I wanted to be there early. To see all the BJDs there and my take awesome photos with them too. Plus, maybe get something for myself. It was after a venue to get new outfits and accessories.

As soon as we got there with filled out the registration form and looked around. I got scared as the all look awesome not to mention well dressed. The set up their owners made are great, it made me feel that I was not suppose to be there.

At this point I was asking my owner to bring me home. She said no and said that I should just be happy to look around.

You can see how small I'm compared to the other dolls. I can't believe that there are so many sizes of dolls. I wish I could be bigger.

I liked her pretty. I want her dress too! Not sure about who owner her though.

She belongs to this display. They even have a doll that looks like Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock.
It was pretty and I feel like I belong in that display. Sadly, my color scheme was off and we can't touch the displays. I don't have don't have anything more to say. Please enjoy the other photos below. I just wish the next time we attend my owner is ready!

Owner: Klea look! There is someone that looks like you! She has straight hair though!

Owner: Klea stop staring!
Klea: But he looks good! I wish I can take a photo with him.

Klea: Wow! Small dolls like me!
