Polish Crazy: Sassy Colors, Are you Hot or Cold?

I have a new nail polish; this one is amusing as it shifts to a darker shade when it’s cold!
Made by Sassy Colors, I have first heard about this nail color from a friend, she was using a shade that was blend with her nails it was completely invisible to me, until she got cold with the air conditioner inside the bus. Her nails turn bright red.

I was so amuse so I looked for it at Watson’s in SM Bacoor

I got this one

The color is called Chameleon Blue

This is how it looks like in hot or normal temperature
plus it has a matte feel to it

After being exposed to iced water

See the difference

I am not sure how many shades was made under this particular Chameleon line but I have seen, black, pink, yellow, and purple. I am thinking of buying another shade most likely a shade that is invisible in room temperature.

So, are you hot or cold? Know with this Sassy Color polish get one now for only 45 pesos. Let's me know what you think about ^_^

Multi tasking, Is it really making your brain dull?

 from timegt.com
Are you an office Octopus?

Multi tasking is defined by merriam-webster as the concurrent performance of several jobs by a computer.
Now-a-days this is essential to any job may it be at home or in a regular office. It has become a normal thing to do and a routine to people who works in call centers and even to people that take in freelance work.

So, is multi tasking is it really making your brain dull?

I do not think this is the case, maybe it just the fact that you are not focus on one thing. I have heard that if you focus on something for eight second the brain gets to remember better. So for me Multi tasking does not make your brain dull but it just makes you less focus.

So, if you do not want to be called a scatter brain at work or anywhere else, do use you multi tasking skill in moderation and I think this will help you finish one job quicker. This will make the job more concise and I think it will have less room from revision and save time.
It will help you remember the methods you have used that way if it was right you can easily remember them the next time you have to apply them to another project.

I really depends on the capacity of one’s brain, after all some people I know can focus better if they have music in the background, their favorite show on TV or even while eating.

How to save time is one thing but how to save time and have a quality output is another thing.

Things I don’t want to tell…

My daughter (if I’ll have one)

1. Mother knows best
With due respect, we all know this, but for me by saying this you are controlling your child no matter in what matter you say it. There is no need to say this if you know that you have raised you child well.

2. Take up this course
I’m a firm believer of do what you want for as long as it makes you happy. It may not be the best choice for the people around you, but know that if your choice is about to eat you alive take responsibility for it. I have being asked a million time “Why did you not take up Nursing in College?” even if I have been done with college for about two years now

Here is the answer that I only reply in my head, please don’t pass you frustration to me.

3. Does he not remind you of your father (in a negative way)
So what, we are not yet married and you are not even sure if I want to marry even.

I think that’s about it these are the top 3. So if even I do have a daughter in the future, remind me of this post. Respect and responsibility are just a few things I want to teach her. I wish to be a friend and a mother at the same time.

This is a lazy Sunday post. Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Aura Kingdom: A noob's review

The Situation

As the Church in the great city of Navea provides moral order, the Church's Templars provide temporal order. When monsters, bandits, or weirder things threaten civilization, the Templars send knights to deal with it. The greatest of the Templars was Reinhardt, the Templar commander. For twenty years, he fought and bled to drive back those who threatened the peace.

When Reinhardt stepped back from command to marry Suna, the love of his life, the people celebrated. They had admired Reinhardt as a warrior, and saw his happiness as the just reward for a life of service. So, when Suna fell ill with a mysterious, deadly disease, the people mourned. Reinhardt once more donned his armor, questing farther and farther into the world to find a cure. He returned empty-handed and heartbroken, and has since disappeared.

Suna's illness and Reinhardt's disappearance seem to have been omens, announcing a dark time for the realm. Pirates and bandits threaten the villages, emboldened by the hero's absence. Hostile creatures disrupt the farms and stalk the forests. Rumors of monsters and evil ghosts and worse things are heard from the edges of civilization. Now a black-armored Knight has appeared, with death and demons following wherever he travels.

~Aura Kingdom Wikia

This is the new MMORPG from the creators of Eden Eternal under Aeria Games
Am I playing this game? YES!
That's me right there

Here are the things I have notice (not a game addict so please don't hate me if I said something weird for you)

You start by choosing your first class, your options
Guardian     Gunslinger
Grenadier     Wizard
Sorcerer       Ravager
 Duelist         Bard

I chose a Gunslinger, the range type of player. Back to the game play.

I'm not sure if it's just because it new but it seems too easy to level up, after a few days (3 or 4 I think) of playing I'm already at level 40. However, each player is accompanied by an Eidolon at the start and you will have three of them once you hit level 40 and you have the responsibility of leveling them up, with experience crystals that you get from linking the Eidolon to Gaia or from monster dropped items.

As for the quest, I think it’s to text heavy and is done in a conversation manner, so that takes time if you want to read it all. In game you will see yellow speech bubbles, go near it and the people will start talking to each other after the conversation you will gain loyalty points, you can use at the item mall.

On fortifying weapons and armors, in other games, you can have one item level up in a one is to one ratio and if it fails you will lose that item, in Aura Kingdom, if the fortification fail, it will increase the points for the next level, once you reach a hundred points a +1 will be added

A game is always better if you have friends playing the same game!
Try Aura Kingdom and tell me what you think

Starbucks Planner 2014

Bigtime!!!

Just got my Starbucks Planner!!!!
Sorry, I know it’s weird as most people have this planner, so why do I have blog about it?
Well I always wanted one but this is the first time I was able to complete the stickers needed to redeem it. I took awhile but I was able to make it. At this point I would like to thank Azuma, Katsumi and Kazuo, for the first three stickers I got for free!
us at Yellow Cab after buying coffee XD

With this I will like to make a list of SB I have been to complete the stickers
(Chronologically)
-          Starbucks Coffee Aegis People Support Center
-          Starbucks Coffee Ground Floor, SM Mall of Asia (Main Mall)
-          Starbucks Coffee 4th Floor, SM Megamall (The Atrium)
-          Starbucks Coffee Ground Floor, SM City Bacoor
-          Starbucks Coffee Upper Ground Floor, Gateway Mall  (Where I got the last two stickers and my SB card, the only branch that offered me one)

the stickers and the SB card

Maybe you are asking “What do you plan to do with the planner, you work at home?” with one brow raised
The answer is simple; I want to keep track of my close friends’ birthdays, to see if I will be able to get them something for that special day and to keep track of expenses and maybe a few interviews as well.

Yes, this is a weird post, it’s not really that informative and useful but hey I made this space to share random things and if you read this till the last word, it would mean one thing. You kinda like it too and for that I thank you.

The Great Gilmore Adventure

Aug 13 2010, I was given a HP Mini that I have loved so much. I even gave it a name, Friday the 13th. Fri for short, Fri was given to me to help me with my studies, my online work and my need to surf and bother people online. Sadly Fri is has been admitted at SST Bacoor for total black out and just recently Fri started acting up again. So I had to borrow my boyfriend’s laptop since he does not use it to much. Thanks to him I was able to survive the holiday work load I have for my online work.

Here is Friday the 13th

Fri has been with me for three years, so it sad for me to just give her up. So I sent her for repair, but now I really have to buy a new tower for work and gaming. Now begins the hunt for the parts.

Me and my boyfriend asked around for the price of the specs I need at the mall, it ranges between 16-18 thousand pesos for a dual core processor with a 1tb hard drive and the proper video and graphics card I need for editing. The price is just for the tower/CPU alone, no monitor, mouse, keyboard or speakers included. I felt it was pretty expensive, so did my partner. He then asked the owner of a local computer shop, if he knows where we can have the tower built at a cheaper price. The shop owner told him he can help and the tower will three thousand less than the mall price.

By this time, I’m just waiting for my salary so I can place the down payment.

But one morning, after my salary got credited, I got a message from my partner asking if I can go out, to check the prices at Gilmore, Quezon City. Bored and I was free that day so the plan was set!
It was my first time to go there, so I was pretty excited, but once there I was just amazed at how many shops were there selling computer parts. I was just following where my partner was going after all I did not know much about the specs and the market price of the parts.

 LRT 2- Gilmore Station

My partner

After I think two hours of canvassing, a Kuya approach us and told us to try their shop which will match the price of our canvass with the other shops (which by now is between 12 thousand and 18 thousand). Located away from the other shops it was called HQ Computers.

 HQ Computers

Specs given by the People of HQ Computers
AMD A85600K
GIGABYTE F2A55M-DS2
2 PIECES KINGSTON HYPEX 4GB DDR3
HD6570 2GB DDR3 XFX
WD 1TB SATA
 PSU and 500W
All for 18,000

After deliberating, since all the other shop offered the same price for a dual core only. HQ Computer wins. XD

They did match up the price of the other shop with a better deal. It took a while for the tower to be built as the parts we bought were not in stock. Which we thought was good as the parts are always fresh for the warehouse. The prices were low as the part comes directly from the warehouse/factory, that was what Kuya  said.

While they were building the tower

I recommend this shop if you want to save with your new computer! You’ll have to be patient when you get there though the people there are pretty relaxed, but they do have good communication skills, you will not get an irate clerk.

This was a great day for me, 2014 is starting great! Are you having the same start?

14 Goals for 2014

I was thinking of doing thirteen things I have learned during 2013, but I think it’s too late to make one. After all, it will take me a long time to remember all the things I have learned and narrow them down to thirteen. This is also for me to think about the present future than the past XD

      1.       Travel more. I have been working at home for two years plus now. Yes, the pay is good but it confines me in my room for almost seven days a week. So for this year, I want to visit places I have once been to or a new place to explore without the guilty feeling that I’m alone in such a beautiful place. Hey, the goal is to travel more not to spend more. One of these days I will just randomly post a photo of me in Baguio in my Instagram account and you will be just surprised

2.       Build a Career. As much as I love my home-based work, I need to grow. Looking for work is actually easy but getting hired is hard. Last year, I was called for an interview at a place where my current skill set is a bit off but I always said that everything can be learned. I was excited. However, I did not know what happened. Yes, I was not called back after the final interview. A new year will bring new opportunities. I just feel it! Wait for me Work that I will love forever.

3.       Be more patient. I’m not really sure about this I think, I’m patient enough with a lot of things, however, there are things if not done in time or as soon as possible, it gets me annoyed. A good example is when someone tells me it will be done in a week’s time and yet nothing happens after a week.  I’m pretty approachable; you can tell me if you can’t do it in the time frame I ask you to do it. We can adjust it; after all, I’m aware that people have other things to do.(Just don’t make me feel like you are just lying in bed all day) So yeah I know I’m patient but I think I need more. (This is maybe because I’m growing old XD)

4.       Follow the Schedule. I like writing down the things I need to buy or do. I have tendencies to delay work for about an hour to do something else or once I’m bored I will do something new. This is a habit I have acquired after working in the BPO industry. Learning to actually follow a schedule can help me do more and practice number 3.

5.       Let go of things that make me sad. Things, places, memories, and even people. There is no use in keeping them. For the past years, I may have kept them, as a keepsake and a reminder not to do the same mistake. Some as a reminder of something that was fun and sweet but ended badly. I’m going to throw them out but I will ensure that I do not see them too often because it affects my mood and my interaction with other people. XD

6.       Jog XD. Enough said.

7.       Save. I want my own place after all. The future is uncertain after all. I may end up alone or with a family. So yeah saving is one of the things I really have to do. I have my investment with Manulife, struggling to keep it there too but I really think it will be worth it. I have heard people saying that putting money in a bond or investment is not worth it as the inflation with lessening the value of your money, I say it is still better to have something to use in the future than spend it all on gadgets and short thrills.

So yeah, the list is seven points short from 14. However, this would mean more effort will be given to each. How about you what are your plans for this year?
