Komket is a play on Komiks and market. The best part the logo is a comet cat! So, what is Komiket about? It is a venue for indie comic book artist and illustrators to market their artworks.
I was there on the second day to support Cheachan, she was part of Komikids' table. Sadly, I did not get to see her there. I left early to save my wallet from awesome fan arts for sale.
The other reason why I was there super early was for the free "Kommunity" a collection of short comics from well-known comic book artist and artists that gain popularity online.
I seriously could have gotten more mech but it would have killed off my budget. So, on the next Komiket I will be ready! See you all on Feb 24-25 2018!

Finally, after so long I have a new pair of contact lens. Introducing Sweety Galaxy Blue, it looks like you have a galaxy on your eyes. It come in pink, brown, gray, purple and blue.
In daylight
It's pretty comfortable to wear. It did feel weird at first as it has been a long time since a last worn contact lenses. The color really pops out but it does not look weird if you want to wear it daily.

I do recommend this pair if you are planning to cosplay someone with blue eyes as it will look more natural. It is vivid without the non-human looking eyes. It has a 14.5 diameter making your eyes look bigger and doll-like.

Just a reminder, if this is your first time to wear contact lenses, don't wear them for more than 4 hours. You need to get use to it first. Yes you need to break-in your first pair. Also, make sure that you will use the same contact lens solution you have used for the first time to avoid irritation.
You don’t need to leave the country to experience a grand anime and cosplay event. Cosplay Mania has it all for you. Held last September 30 to October 1 at Function rooms 1-5, SMX Convention Center. This is the biggest Cosmania ever since it started in 2008.
The event officially opened before noon. There were a lot of anime and cosplay enthusiast present. All of them excited to enjoy the event, meet their idols and win prizes!
If you were one of the first 500 people, you were entitled to play Cosplay Con-Quest. It is indeed a great way to explore the event. If you finish the game early, your prize awaits you at the Prize Redemption Booth located at the Show Management Office.
Toys, cute items, and fan art on sale—you'll get to see all of those. Did we already mention that Cosmania is also a great time to meet up with online sellers that are also exhibitors for 2 days? There are discounts and freebies from on-site shops that you can avail as well!
For two days, people got to see some of their favorite characters come to life. From anime, western comics, computer games, and movies—it is fun to see people with the same cosplay face each other!
International guests were also present to grace the event. Anime Director Sayo Yamamoto and Anime Producer Fuuko Noda joined in for a panel discussion. Voice Actors, Koutaro Nishiyama and Wataru Hatano, were there as well for a fan panel.
Cosplayers from Asia and Canada came to meet their Filipino fans. Angie from Malaysia, Kong and Eki from South Korea, Siutao from Hong Kong, Knitemaya from Australia, and Hikarin from Canada stunned everyone with their costumes, acts on stage, and makeup tutorial.
This year’s Jam concert featured Anisong artists, Konomi Suzuki, kradness, ELISA, Shiena Nishizawa. Attendees were able to jam with these amazing artists for two days! You can tell that the people enjoyed the concert. The floor was shaking from the attendees that were jumping during the concert.

There were a few setbacks, but all in all, it was an enjoyable event! Looking forward to a better Cosmania 2018! Time to go back to our usual favorites!
How was your Manila International Book Fair? I was able to pass by on the last day, I was there for Sir Manix Abrera. The lines where crazy. We really must love books and the authors!
There a fandom fest as well. This is the biggest MIBF yet, they have occupied the whole SMX Convention Center in Pasay. There was a lot going on in different parts of the convention center. I was able to see 3 stage set ups. There was a line for people that want their book signed by a particular author within a given time frame.

It was a good thing that we came early to the Visprint booth and we got our queue numbers. The schedule for the book signing was from 10am to 5pm. However, it started late but it was worth the wait! ^_^
As you can see I'm an awkward kid. I have never met Sir Manix before and it was overwhelming that he was so relaxed and chill. He actually talks to you while he is signing. Asking about your work and saying sorry for being late.
I got my 1-9 Kiko Machine Komix signed. Sherome the one that introduced me to these komix had this silent stories signed! It was a fun day. Until next year MIBF!

This is a story about Fidel and how he created a world around Stella, the girl with black lipstick. The setting as in early 2000s. Fidel lacks confidence due to his speech defect, Stella was the front of a college band! This may be a case of opposites attracts. Other characters to take note of is Danica, Von and Chuck the beatboxing dormmate.
The Kaibigan ko lang sya line
Girls are hard to understand sometime, I'm sure more guys will agree with me. Heck, I find some of my girl friends and myself confusing too. We have the tendency to say one thing but mean another thing. This movie for me is really about regret. Not being able to finish ones studies, not getting that one great dream, not being able to tell the love of your life that you love them.
This feel like he finally found something to keep him alive
It his a story about self discovery as well. Fidel found out that he can be normal and popular because of singing. Stella realized that all the guys her "loved" ends up feeling used by her. This is the part that made this story close to reality for me. Things don't always go the way you want it to go. Setbacks are a part of life, it is either you roll with it or just give up.
Love does not have reasons
The music is great, if you want to make it big as a singer or a band you will be able to relate to Stella. If you, you are trying to find a way to tell someone that you like or love them, this can help you realize that you need to tell that person how you feel before it is too late. Please don't try to write 100 poems that is going to take years. Again, this mode is about heartbreak and regret in a way. Learn from the characters' mistakes.

There is a Danica in all of us. A person that lights up once the person they love or like is near. Yet, like Danica we sometime can never tell that person due to fear of losing the friendship we have with them. Von made this movie even more real which is great, but he scares me. One of his was "Dito ka lang! Mag sama tayo, pareho naman tayong walang wala eh!" something to that effect. It made me feel like he was stalking her from the longest time.
There you have it. You may not like the movie or the director or the actors but hey that is your opinion and you are entitled to voice it out. Just try to see it as a whole though. Let's be happy for if someone is happy. If that makes sense. XD
Yes, this is what I basically did in Bacolod! EAT as food is love. So, what do we have on this post? We have MAGIC! One is themed after Harry Potter and the pub is theme after illusions. Let's start with Chapter 9¾ Coffee House. It is located at Locsin Street.
Menu
We when there for coffee as we just finished eating lunch at Lord Byron's Backribs. The place was packed with Harry Potter toys as well us other items from other fandoms. You can borrow house scraves and wands while you are drinking your Gillyweed or enjoying your Headmaster's Platter (984 Special Burger, Onion Rings, Fries and Kropek).
It is a very chill spot. You can do your group studies here, just don't be to noisy for the other patrons. I love the Gillyweed, peppermint and coffee work well! Hopefully next time I can try more of things of f their menu! Time to be trapped at The TrapDoor Pub.

It was fun trying to find the place. My friend has been there but she let me look for it. Check the photo above. It seriously looks like it is just a wall. If you are visiting this place, let me give a clue. Spades can punch a hole on paper.

The interior will transport you to another era, where magic and illusions where a great source of entertainment. By the way, this place is something the kids will not enjoy. The menu has a wide variety of alcoholic drinks. It is a pub after all. Can't you much about the food as we only ordered iced teas and a candied bacon dessert. We stayed for a good 30 minutes, the tour guides has to go home! :)
There are a lot of coffee shops in this place, and I got to visit a few of them. Let's talk about Tom N Toms first. They are a coffee shop chain from Korea. They are similar to a known coffee shop in the metro. They have there only line of tumblers and mugs.
This place is pretty chill. Fun thing is that it is open 24/7. Located at the corner of 26th and Lacson Streets Bacolod City. We had breakfast there before going to Campuestohan. We got the following Cinnamon Cafe Mocha and Caramel Macchiato with extra Espresso shot for our drinks. We ate Onion Bagel and Corn Pretzel too!
This is a pretty chill place, too chill that if you are in a hurry you must not eat here. It took a while for us to get our order and it felt like the hot coffee was not longer hot. They did not serve the coffee without our food so the coffee was warm when we got it. Good point is that the pretzel was made fresh and it was delicious! So, as a tip, if you are in a group order in batch, coffee first then your food.
